Cancellation Policy: 24 Hours Notice Required

Appointment day on your calendar

If you must cancel an appointment, please give me at least 24 hours notice.  I will try to reschedule your appointment for the same week so that you don’t miss your treatment.  You will be charged the full fee for your session if you do not show up for your appointment or cancel with less than a day’s notice (24 hours.)  Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions.  While I truly understand that unforeseen problems arise during the course of a life, I cannot be responsible for them financially when they do occur, which is what happens when the scheduled session is not paid for.

Questions about your insurance coverage?

It’s hard to predict whether your insurance will cover your treatment — for example:

  • Blue Cross / Blue Shield
Within Blue Cross/Blue Shield there are several distinct policies. Some cover acupuncture and some don’t. That ambiguity is true of many policies.
  • Kaiser
I’m not a Kaiser provider, and they have their own acupuncturist.
  • Medicare / Medi-Cal
I am not a Medicare or Medi-Cal provider.

The best course of action is for you to check your policy to determine if they cover out-of-network acupuncturists. My billing department, AAA Medical Billing at 530-865-8727, can answer any questions about your coverage. Jennifer Joyner or any of the staff members will be happy to clarify any insurance questions.
